Consistent issue selecting the right atom/bond

Hi team, 

My colleague is experiencing an annoying ChemDraw bug! I opened the same file that he is using and I don't get the issue at all, but for him it's a high % of the time, and making ChemDraw almost unusable. We are both using the same system, ChemDraw 21.0.0.28 on Windows 10 on a Lenovo ThinkPad. The issue happens both on an external monitor and on the laptop monitor, and at different magnification values. 

The problem is that when he mouses over a bond or atom ready to sprout a new bond/ring/etc, it appears to be selected correctly, and the blue highlight and green dot appear in the correct place. However, when he clicks, the bond/whatever sprouts from the wrong place: either one position over, or more often then just randomly floating in space, not attached to the molecule. I watched him do it and we are doing exactly the same thing but we get different results! He is now trying to uninstall/reinstall, but I thought it was worth reporting anyway. If that doesn't work, we can try and provide further evidence of what is happening.
